On May 31st, 2025, we hosted a deeply impactful webinar featuring an esteemed panel of Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatrist, who explored diverse areas of interest and concerns for both parents and children.

Dr. Adebimpe: explored on the positive and negative effects of social media on children’s physical, emotional, and mental health. It highlights how excessive screen time, cyberbullying, exposure to harmful content, and comparison culture can lead to anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, and low self-esteem. On the positive side, social media can foster creativity, connection, and learning when used responsibly.

Dr. Omeje: Parents are equipped with practical strategies to monitor and guide their children’s online activity, including setting healthy boundaries, promoting digital literacy, encouraging open communication, and being role models for balanced tech use. The session emphasizes the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment that helps children navigate social media wisely.
