When things don’t work out and how to try again 💪
Let’s Talk About It
Sometimes we feel sad when things don’t go the way we hoped. Maybe:
You tried baking some cookies but they didn’t turn out great
You built a tower, and it fell down.
You practiced, but still missed the goal.
It’s okay to feel sad, angry, or even want to give up. Everyone feels that way sometimes — let me tell you a little secret even grown ups too 😌😌😉
The Magic of “Try Again”
Disappointment is not the end. It’s a step that helps us learn.
Every time you try again, you get better.
Mistakes are like teachers — they show you what to fix.
Trying again makes you and me braver and stronger. I say to myself Get up, chin up and try again 💪
Now join me and try again kids . These quick activities will help you notice your feelings and practice trying again in a fun way. 🎨💪
Fun “Try Again” Activities
- Feelings Meter 🎭
Point to the face that shows how you feel when you’re disappointed:
😞 Sad | 😡 Angry | 😐 Tired | 💪 Ready to try again
(Kids can circle or color the face.)
- The Bounce-Back Challenge 🏀
Write something you couldn’t do the first time that made you feel sad or angry (like tying your shoelaces ,riding a bike, drawing a star)
Then write how you can try again.
(Example: “My block tower fell. Next time, I will build it slower.”)
- Superpower Words 💬✨
Say these out loud three times:
“I can try again!”
“I am learning!”
“I won’t give up!”
Yaaay!!, that’s the spirit!
Every time you do this, you get better at bouncing back. Keep shining and never give up! 🌟🙌
