About Golden Bond Project
The Golden Bond Project, an initiative dedicated to supporting breastfeeding education, fostering early mother-infant attachment, and enhancing maternal mental health.
Mission & Vision
Vision Statement
To nurture a generation of emotionally secure children and mentally empowered mothers by restoring the sacred bond at birth—where the psychological power of colostrum, maternal touch, and early attachment are valued as foundations for lifelong mental well-being.
Mission Statement:
The Golden Bond Project is a maternal-child mental health initiative under ICTMH committed to promoting the neuropsychological and emotional benefits of breastfeeding, particularly colostrum, as a primary medium of early bonding and brain development. Grounded in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and psychosocial health models, our mission is to:
– Equip mothers, health workers, and community leaders with evidence-based knowledge on how early breastfeeding supports cognitive, emotional, and neurological development in infants.
– Create safe, stigma-free platforms where maternal mental health challenges such as postpartum depression, birth trauma, and parenting anxiety can be addressed through counseling, education, and peer support.
– Strengthen mother-infant attachment through culturally sensitive outreach programs that integrate traditional birthing wisdom with modern psychological insights.
– Advocate for policies and practices that support breastfeeding-friendly environments and the mental wellness of caregiving mothers across all socioeconomic backgrounds.
