The Initiative for Cognitive Therapies and Mental Health (ICTMH) hosted a webinar exploring the importance of culturally competent care when supporting survivors of sexual assault in minority communities. The session highlighted the cultural and social barriers that may prevent survivors from seeking help, the stigma surrounding sexual assault, and the need for sensitive, inclusive, and trauma-informed support. Through expert discussions, the panelists explored ways to provide compassionate care, promote awareness, and create safe spaces where survivors feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. The webinar emphasized the importance of understanding cultural differences in delivering effective mental health care and advocating for the well-being and recovery of survivors.
